Sunday, January 18, 2004 An urge to meet … It’s getting a bit out of hand, the fact I’m thinking about wat I need to get done in the office for this week. A bit worried about work for the past week or so. On top of the projects that I’m already in charge, there’s a lot of ad-hoc work that is being dumped on me, well not only me, but the whole group for the fact. You don’t even have time to complete your own assignment, n then u suddenly u r dumped with something which is more urgent n critical that you have to put everything else on hold n get this done ahead of everything else. The best part would be, when ur own project is behind time, they’ll question you, wats the delay is all about. I guess time management is the impt thing here, but I suck at it. Never got the hang of managing my time. It always been in a mess. Whenever I get an assignment, I don’t really plan for it. If I like the assignment/project, I’ll just sit on it n get it over with as fast as possible, if I don’t get it done ASAP, I’ll feel guilty for putting off things. But if the whole assignment is something which I hate, I’ll put it off to the very last possible minute, the best part would be, the feeling of guilt will not bother me at all this time around, how weird. So I guess, it’s not only the time management, the motivation also counts. Most probably I’ll b goin to Penang n JB in a week time. Though it’s work related, the change of environment and the long lonely hours of driving is something I’m looking forward to. Hopefully it’ll give me a bit time out of the normal routine of work n home. Probably, when I’m in JB I might do a bit of crossing the border thingy. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been down south n wanted to go there for some time now, maybe I’ll do it this time. Before that, I shall shoot out few mails n see if I’m welcomed over there. It’ll b good to catch up with the current IN thing there. On an unrelated issue, I’m trying to persuade the guys from A6 to follow me n the gang for the thaipusam trip to Penang. The more the merrier.
